Breakfast Baking Fun!

Some weeks ago, we put up an Instagram of some (vaguely) healthy muffins as we tried to begin January on a 'good' note. We love baking with our little ones in particular - read Kate's tips for getting them involved here; the full-sleeved bib is a must! We had lots of requests for the recipe, so here it is! It comes from 'Cupcakes from the Primrose Hill Bakery' - a brilliant book that incidentally has one of the best chocolate cake recipes ever (for the days when we're feeling not as virtuous)!   Honey and Granola Cupcakes Makes about 12 regular cupcakes   Ingredients 110g unsalted butter, at room temperature 120g light brown sugar 175g clear honey 2 large eggs, free-range or...

Dublin Christmas Flea Market!

The Dublin Christmas Flea Market runs from Friday December 9 to Sunday December 11, and we can't wait to take part again this year, especially as we have lots of new products to show off! We love our necklaces in new colours like olive green, and navy, and the soother clips with their little stars are sure to make your little star smile! We will also be unveiling some beautiful new handmade Dublin textiles for you and your little one - we can't wait for people to see them! The Point Village is the ideal venue for a family day out - escalators and lifts are idea for buggies, the luas stops right outside the door - and there are thousands...

This is in no way an exhaustive list but I thought it would be useful to go through for expectant and new moms, all the books we had, and which ones we found most useful, and not so useful.    What to expect when you are expecting  This book is huge and full of information.  I would say we used less than 5% of it though.  It was useful for telling you what would happen in each month but there was just so much there it took a long time to find what you were looking for. A lot of the information is relevant for America and I found the following book much more relevant. The Irish Pregnancy Book We loved this...

A New Baby - and New Products!

You may have noticed we've been a little quiet of late - but with good reason, we swear! Our co-founders have had a busy summer of family fun - Natasha got married, and one week later, Kate welcomed her second baby, a gorgeous girl! So we've been lying a little low and enjoying a very happy few months - but, like the rest of the country, we're now ready for Back to School - and to get back to work!    Along with gorgeous new necklace and bangle colours, we have a brand new product - clever little soother clips, designed to be attached to babies' clothing to keep their soother safe...

Baking with a 16 month old

So we did it for the first time... I love baking and I had been looking forward to this experience ever since my son was born.  I had dreamt of domestic bliss.  It was very successful if a little messy, here are my tips - Pick an easy recipe and definitely something you have done before Organise everything in advance, lay out all your ingredients ready to be weighed. Plan where your little one is going to sit/stand, I let my son stand on a chair pulled up to the table but this meant I had to have everything ready as I couldn't leave him at any stage. Be prepared to get very messy, wear an apron yourself and put your...
